Club Rules & Safety

Updated Nov 1, 2020

The AMOC worldwide organization has an official Code of Conduct document, but below are some additional rules that all members of the AMOC South-Central Chapter and their guests are assumed to agree to in order to participate in any club activites & events.

EVENT ORGANIZERS

  1. Any member of AMOC South-Central is able to and is strongly encouraged to organize events for the club.
  2. For privacy and security reasons the roster contact information will only be given out to Event Organizers with an established history with this club chapter. Newer members will need to have the designated Area Representative send out any mass mailings or invitations.
  3. Event Organizers are free to establish any rules, requirements and safety protocols for the events they organize, and are free to enforce those rules as they see fit.
  4. Club officials including Event Organizers and Regional Representatives are all unpaid and uncompensated volunteers.

EVENT ATTENDEES

  1. Club members and their guests participate in any AMOC event or activities at their own risk.  By participating or signing up for any event they agree not to hold liable any club official, representative or Event Organizer for anything that may occur during, as a result of, or in relation to any event or activity.
  2. Event attendees are expected to follow whatever rules & safety protocols the Event Organizer dictates for an event. If an attendee is not comfortable with or objects to any rule then they should not attend that event.

GENERAL RULES OF THE ROAD

  1. Club drives are not a race. It is understood that different people are comfortable driving at different speeds, so nobody should ever feel pressured to drive in any way that they are not comfortable with. The drivers in the front of the line will generally make all attempts to wait up for the drivers in the back, but since this is not always possible drivers lagging behind should always be aware of the route and destinations.
  2. Reckless and dangerous driving is strictly prohibited! Any actions that put the public, property, or other members of the club at risk are not allowed and may result in serious consequences.
  3. Members should always recognize that while participating in a club activity they are representing both the club and the Aston Martin brand, and should behave accordingly as dictated in the official AMOC Code of Conduct.
  4. Safety is always the top priority in all situations. Every member is expected to respect the safety of others and never put another member's safety at risk or make them feel unsafe.
